The French League of Youth Hostels (L.F.A.J.) and the International Union of French-Speaking countries Youth Hostels (U.I.A.J.P.F.) are non-profit organizations which count an important network of youth Hostels located in metropolitain France , French overseas and French-speaking countries in Africa and Indian Ocean.
Their aim objective is to facilitate the discovery of the world and the meeting of persons of different circles, by means of youth hostels of their network.
The youth hostels are lively places to meet, respect and learn about others. Being alone or in couple, in family or in group, youth hostels implanted in the seaside, in the country side or in urban areas, offer you a quality accommodation which allies low costs to comfort. They welcome individuals, groups (with reservations) families and couples into dormitories of 8, 6, or 4 beds. We can also have at your disposal individual room. All the rooms have toilets, wash-hands basins, showers or bath-rooms. Some youth hostels are equipped for camping too.
Besides a cheap accommodation, youth hostels propose for holidays or weekends multiple cultural and sports activities such as theatre, canoe kayak and excursions and hikes or rides. To stay in a youth hostel, you need to get a membership card which is delivered by the L.F.A.J. or by any Youth hostel. Membership cards are usually valid for 1 year and give access to any Youth hostel in France and worldwide.
